The Lakshminarayana Global Music Festival 2005 (fusion segment) will
feature Dr. L. Subramaniam and Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam along
with some of the greatest Jazz musicians from the American music scene
including bass genius Stanley Clarke and piano legend George Duke. In
New Delhi, special guests include multiple platinum and multiple Grammy
award winning Artist Al Jarreau, legendary guitarist Earl Klugh and
Saxophonist Ravi Coltrane. It will also feature Seetaa Subramaniam,
versatile Danish musicians Kim Menzer, Mikkel Nordsoe and Fridolin Nordsoe
along with five Indian musicians. This follows a recent concert at the
Lincoln Center, New York featuring Dr. Subramaniam, Kavita Krishnamurti
Subramaniam, George Duke, Stanley Clarke and Seetaa Subramaniam, the
success of which inspired this tour. Both Clarke and Duke are featured
on Dr. Subramaniam’s new fusion album, while the collaboration between
Clarke and Duke began decades ago. This series of concerts promises
to be historical.
