1989 India Shanti Priya World Premier with Kirov Symphony and a tour in India.

 

22nd & 23rd Nov, 1988 Tata Theatre in Bombay. World premiere of ‘Shanti Priya’ with the Kirov Symphony Orchestra
 
18th Nov, 1988 Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi. Fantasy On Vedic Chants’ was performed by the Kirov Symphony Orchestra at the Festival of the USSR in India
 
14th Nov, 1988 Hamsadwani Theatre in Trade Fair Centre New Delhi Special concert with audio video presentation in memory of Jawaharlal Nehru (beginning of the centenary year). President R. Venkataraman was the Chief Guest.
 
July 6th, 1988 Tchaikovsky Hall ,Russia R. Venkataraman and Russian President Gromyko were both present at the performance Fantasy on Vedic Chants.  There was a special TV broadcast and a special set of 4 commemorative albums celebrating the Soviet and Indian Festivals was released, featuring compositions of Tchaikovsky and Subramaniam.
 
1987 (Summer) Bolshoi Theatre, USSR Two Special Indian Classical performances for the Indian Festival
 
1987 Geneva  Premiere of orchestral composition ‘Turbulence’ with Swiss Romande in Geneva to celebrate the festival of India in Switzerland.
 
28th Jan, 1987 New York Celebration of the 40th Year of India’s Independence at the UN with Lord Yehudi Menuhin.
 
Jan 1986  Premiere of Double Violin Concerto with Arve Tellefsen (Violin solo) and L. Subramaniam. Christian Eggen conducted the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra at the Oslo Concert House. There was a special television broadcast.
 
Oct 2nd, 1985 Siri Fort, New Delhi Indian Premiere of Fantasy on Vedic Chants with Gulbenkian Orchestra.  HE R. Venkataraman, the Vice President was present.
 
Oct 1985 Hong Kong Opening of the 10th Festival of Asian Arts. L. Subramaniam Violin Concerto with Hong Kong Philharmonic.
 
Sep 12th 1985 Avery Fisher Hall, NY Premiere of Fantasy on Vedic Chants, with the New York Philharmonic, and Zubin Mehta conducting.  It was for the Festival of India, and coincided with the opening of New York Philharmonic season. It was followed by three other concerts.
 
Oct 1984 Hong Kong Special Indian Classical Concert at the Hong Kong Festival of Asian Arts.
  
Mar 14th, 1983 World Premiere of Double Concert for Violin and Flute at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Maestro Jack Elliot conducted the Hollywood Orchestra and Hubert Laws was the flute soloist.
