  • World Premiere of The Freedom Symphony with the Fairfax Symphony and Choir Dr. L. Subramaniam was commissioned to write a new composition for the Fairfax Symphony to celebrate 60 Years of India's Independence. This concert featured Dr. L. Subramaniam, Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam, Bindu Seetaa Subramaniam, Ambi Subramaniam, and was conducted by Maestros William Hudson and Glen Qader. The concert began with a Karnatic violin duet with Dr. L. Subramaniam, Ambi and their percussionists, Mashesh Krishnamurthy, Giridhar Udupa, G. Satya Sai and Satish Pathakota.

  • The Global Symphony featuring Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam with the orchestra (conducted by Maestro William Hudson) and the choir was followed by the world premiere of the Freedom Symphony featuring Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam and Bindu Seetaa Subramaniam. The finale was the Turbulence concerto featuring Dr. L.Subramaniam and Ambi Subramaniam and conducted by Maestro Glen Qader.
  • The tremendous ovation they received led to the encore piece the Flight of the Humble Bee.

  • Karnatic Violin duet by Dr. Subramaniam and Ambi at the Jay Pritzker Pavillion, Millenium Dome, Chicago Dr. Subramaniam and Ambi played to a rapt audience of over 7,000 at this open air concert as a part of the world music festival in Chicago. It was the first time that Indian music was heard at this venue and the audience was spell bound and gave the performers an overwhelming standing ovation.
  • Dr. Subramaniam and Ambi were accompanied by Mahesh Krishnamurthy, Giridhar Udupa, G. Satya Sai and Satish Pathakota.
  • 18th : Chicago - Ambi's US Solo debut
  • Ambi Subramaniam played the first half of a concert at the International House, University of Chicago. This marked Ambi's solo debut in the United States. His brilliant playing earned him a standing ovation and great acclaim. The second half of the concert was performed by Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.

  • From the Republic to the Raj - Concert at the Royal Festival Hall, London
    Dr. Subramaniam and Ambi played as part of a seven hour concert celebrating 60 years of India's independence at the newly renovated Royal Festival Hall. Ambi opened the concert with a solo segment to much appreciation and applause and then father and son played a Karnatic violin duet, receiving a standing ovation. Dr. Subramaniam and Ambi were accompanied by Mahesh Krishnamurthy, Giridhar Udupa and G. Satya Sai.

  • 60 years of Bollywood - Barbican Theatre, London
    Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam, A. Hariharan, Alka Yagnik, Roop Kumar Rathod, Jolly Mukherjee and others presented film songs representing 60 years of Bollywood to a packed house at the Barbican Theatre.

Concert included Kavita Krishnamurti Subramaniam ( vocal ), Ambi Subramaniam ( violin ) and his orchestral compositions Turbulence ( Violin Concerto ), Shanti Priya and Flight of the Humble Bee .

    Concert included his Astral Symphony with voice ( Bindu Subramaniam ) and orchestra , Turbulence (Symphony) and Fantasy on Vedic Chants ( Concerto for violin and orchestra ) .

    Held at Jumeirah Beach Hotel ,Dubai for the 3rd year in succession, the event saw a special felicitation ceremony to honor Dr. L. Subramaniam, the greatest of Indian classical violinists and a world renowned composer. Dr.L. Subramaniam has crossed the frontiers of the western classical tradition to create magical compositions.
